If you’re new to the festival scene or just fancy a weekend away with friends, Sundown Festival is one of the cheapest ways to get the festival feeling without the hordes of people.

Sundown is now in its fourth year and takes place across three days, during the last weekend of August. Held at the Norfolk Showground, on the outskirts of Norwich, the festival is easy to travel to as it is just seconds away from the A47.
With day tickets starting at just £30 and headline acts such as Ellie Goulding, Tinie Tempah and John Newman on the line-up this year, tickets are expected to sell fast. For a small festival, it’s boasted some big names. Previous years have seen the likes of Chase and Status, Jessie J, Rita Ora and Labyrinth take to the main stage.
Campers receive the benefit of the Sundown after-parties, which are not open to the general public. A whole weekend camping (including your entry fee) will set you back around £100. As with every festival, the food and drink stalls are always a little on the pricey side, so it’s worth bearing that in mind when it comes to setting aside spending money.
I'll be camping this year. It will be my third year and I love the chilled vibe - it's a growing festival but well worth the money.
For more information on line-ups and tickets, head to the Sundown website. Tickets can be bought on the website and through other trusted ticket outlets listed on the site.
Whilst you're in the area, why not head into Norwich. We've tried a few restaurants out ourselves. Check out our review of Mambo Jambo on our Food & Drink pages.
