As the sun appears to be coming out already in the UK, we have started to visit more out-doorsy places. This home-made ice cream parlour is most definitely not to be missed out on this Spring/Summer.
Daisy Made ice cream is a family run business in Skellingthorpe, on the outskirts of Lincoln city. The interesting fact about this place is, that all of the ice cream is made on the farm using milk from the dairy cows and when the sun is out, all machinery is solar powered- so it is economical too.
There is also a seated cafe, with cakes, hot drinks and various sandwiches, paninis and snacks on offer.
There is plenty of entertainment, with animals to meet, a 12-hole farm themed crazy golf course (£2.50 for adults), daisy diggers and a countryside setting.
You can even grab an ice cream in a hurry, visit the farm's drive through for on-the-go fresh ice cream and other treats.
We recommend the 'Marrakech' flavour, it is a chocolate ice cream, with a hint of orange and almond nuts too. The farm is free to enter, and ice creams prices start from as little as £1.20. Not suitable for those with nut allergies or lactose intolerance.
Not sure where to head for dinner? Check out Ribs'N'Bibs- we love it.
