You don't have to be a professional to climb the walls at The Climbing Works; the centre welcomes anybody who is up for the challenge of climbing the world's best indoor bouldering wall.
Bouldering - which involves climbing without the need of ropes or harnesses - has become increasingly popular in recent years. With this centre in Sheffield holding 1,500m² of indoor bouldering climbing surface across two buildings, it is the place you want to be to try out the adrenalin seeking activity.
Although you can be as adventurous as you wish to be at The Climbing Works, if you haven't tried bouldering much before and it is your first visit, you can try out an induction session to prepare you for the larger walls. It is recommended you consider trying this induction out first, even if you are an experienced climber but only visiting The Climbing Works for the first time.
When you are all set up and ready to go, you can try out a number of bouldering walls in different sizes, heights and difficulty. It will only cost you around £7 for admission and £3 for shoe hire for the day. You will also have to pay a 'first time visitor registration fee' of £3 on your arrival. To find out more about passes, memberships and costs, you can visit the website.
Once you've worked up an appetite you can either try out the on-site café, which serves hot drinks and snacks or we suggest heading into the centre of Sheffield and treating yourself to an afternoon tea at Andrew's Café Tea Rooms (read our review here.)
