The National Space Centre in Leicester may sound like it would only be a good attraction for those interested in space or science, but this well-known centre is as impressive on the inside, as it is from the outside. Even if you thought that you didn't have any curiosity about anything to do with space, you will still enjoy your day at the National Space Centre.
Offering the following things to do during your visit, you can truly make a day of it at the space centre no matter what the weather. Explore everything the centre has to offer and release your inner-geek.
It costs only £13 for adults or £11 if you are still a student to spend the day at the centre. You will also find an on-site cafe called Booster Cafe, as well as the Cargo Bay Souvenir shop.
However if you fancy eating out somewhere else, head down the road and into the centre of Leicester and try out Turtle Bay (read our review here.) The restaurant is new to the city and comes highly recommended by the locals.
Throughout the year the centre holds various special events which are well worth booking on for if your staycation takes place during those times. Find out more about what is going on this year here.
